This website is created to help physicians evaluate the presence or absence of significant liver fibrosis (METAVIR F≥2) and liver cirrhosis (METAVIR F4) in patients with chronic hepatitis B. It is also intended to help predict malignancy in liver lesions evaluated with Real Time Two-dimensional Shear Wave Elastography.
This is the home page of the Chronic Hepatitis B Liver Fibrosis Calculator (CHB-LFC) - a practical application of the optimised algorithm for the use of multiple non-invasive markers of liver fibrosis in patients with chronic hepatitis B.
Original publication describing the methodology and accuracy of CHB-LFC can be found here:
Eur J Intern Med. 2015 Oct;26(8):628-34
This is also a home page of the Liver Elastography Malignancy Prediction Score (LEMPS) - a predictive score based on the elastography parameters obtained in patients with focal liver lesions evaluated with Real Time Two-dimensional Shear Wave Elastography (RT 2D-SWE).
Original publication describing the methodology and accuracy of LEMPS can be found here:
Grgurević I et al. Liver Int. 2018 Jun;38(6):1055-1063.
The site is primarily intended for evaluation of patients with chronic hepatitis B and focal liver lesions, however we provided several online calculators based on free scores for non-invasive assessment of liver fibrosis that can be used for other appropriate conditions such as chronic hepatitis C, NASH etc.
This free online tool is based on the algorithm for estimations of presence or absence of liver fibrosis and cirrhosis in patients with chronic hepatitis B. For additional information on the science, studies and methodology used to construct CHB-LFC and LEMPS and instructions for use please check our Q&A section.
